BEYOND is a Horizon Europe-funded project selected under the call “Boosting the translation of biotech research into innovative health therapies”.
A European collaboration
Led by Lipum AB, the project brings together a European consortium consisting of Age Labs AS (Norway), Centre for Human Drug Research (CHDR, Netherlands) and MERAccess AB (Sweden). Together, the partners contribute with expertise in clinical development, biomarker analysis and health economics.
Accelerating the development of SOL-116
The project has been awarded approximately EUR 8 million in funding from the European Union and will run from 2026 to 2029. BEYOND is designed to accelerate the clinical development of Lipum’s lead drug candidate, SOL-116, and support a planned Phase IIa proof-of-concept study in patients with moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
Beyond proof of concept
In addition to generating clinical proof-of-concept data, BEYOND aims to strengthen the scientific, biomarker and health-economic evidence required to support future regulatory decision-making, reimbursement and patient access. By integrating expertise across the entire drug development pathway, the project seeks to bridge the gap between scientific innovation and real-world patient benefit, helping bring novel therapies closer to patients living with inflammatory diseases.
